Mental Health In Primary Schools
Welcome back everyone, it is a joy to see everyone back healthy and happy. This year at AHPS we will have a strong emphasise on Mental Health. It is important to ensure our students can express their mental health needs. Where they find it difficult to communicate they may need an advocate to support them through this time.
Here are some things are home that may help you support your child's mental health:
- model having a positive outlook
- developing confidence in your child and developing a good self-esteem
- encourage your child to play, learn and be social with others
- guide your children to manage feelings and responses in a range of situations
- promote healthy relationships and close bonds with family and friends.

Our children are always changing, maturing and growing. If you become concerned for their change in behaviour, use the Notice Tip Sheet. Notice any changes? This document may help you.

I look forward to supporting our children at AHPS in 2023!
