Principal's Report

By Frank Catalano

Dear Members of the Glen Waverley Primary School Community,

I trust all is well with you and your family and welcome to this fortnight’s newsletter where so much is shared about our fabulous school.

As per usual, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on 9802 9938 or via email at frank.catalano@education.vic.gov.au.

Swimming and Non-Swimmer’s Programs

Thank you to the families who have supported our school’s Year 4 to 6 swimming program as it has been a resounding success. We look forward to the Year Prep to 3 programs commencing next week.

Please refer to Mrs Garzberg-Grant’s piece as she outlines the water safety skills the children learnt at the pool and also an overview of our non-swimmers’ program.

School Council Elections

Thank you to the members of our school community who have nominated for School Council, may I take this opportunity to remind everyone that nominations are due by 5pm this afternoon.

I look forward to sharing additional news shortly.

School Uniform

As a school community we are very proud of our fresh, clean and crisp looking student uniform however it saddens me when I see the ‘Lost Property Box” filled with lost, misplaced and unnamed items. Children (and parents) may I encourage everyone to check their uniform and if it doesn’t have a name on it, please see to it ASAP as we do have staff who are responsible for checking the lost property box and they do return named items to the rightful owner on a very regular basis.
