GD SWIMMING AGE CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to all College Glenelg Division swimming competitors. It was a tight competition all day and came down to seven points in the relays. College came a very close second to Monivae for the overall aggregate.

Well done Lachlan Rees and Henrietta Russell on winning their age groups! A great result for Lachie at his final GD carnival.

College came second overall, first in the boys' aggregate and second in the girls' aggregate. A fantastic day!

NETBALL

Last Saturday, College had its first game of netball for the season with three Senior School teams participating (College Swifts, Magpies and Vixens).

College Swifts (Year 7/8) played a strong game, coming away with a win of 33-8 against Monivae Red. They played well considering it was their first game together, with great movement across the court and especially in the ring. They also had great defensive pressure with many turn overs and intercepts. Overall, all the girls played an amazing game and should be extremely proud of their work.

College Vixens (Year 9-12) played against Monivae Green and had a great game with all the girls learning how to play together. With strong passes and quick movement down the court, the girls worked well in defense, making it a challenge for the opposition. Despite their best efforts, the opposition came away with the win 36 -13.  Thank you to Mrs Malseed for filling in as coach this week.

College Magpies (Year 9-12) had a very great game, with strong defense and some fantastic movement and shooting in the ring. They had a nice flow down the court with all the girls having a go and working well together especially around the ring, and it was reflected in the score at the end of the game with the girls all coming away with a great win of 48 - 21 against Baimbridge Bandicoots.

Well done to all the girls on their first round, keep up the efforts.
