Meet the Darwinia House Captains!

We are extremely happy to introduce ourselves as Darwinia's elected House Captains for 2023. Our names are Irtika S and Tiba D. We both aim to create remarkable memories with the rest of the school and House and hope to achieve many goals throughout this year. Our goals are to lead Darwinia with pride and create an inclusive environment for everyone to feel safe in, and to make students and peers feel welcomed. 

Term 1 has been quite an adjustment this year. It has definitely been quite a stressful time for the year 12s, however there have been many fun times and kind interactions between all the year levels, and we have learnt to push through positively with the help of an amazing environment that this school has created. 

The Swimming Carnival of 2023 was most definitely a success. We would like to say congratulations to Hakea for accomplishing their first position in the swimming carnival. We are very proud to say that every year level in Darwinia had participated in the swimming carnival, even though we didn't come first but we truly were amazing. It was wonderful to see year 12s lead the way with House spirit, dressing up in amazing costumes, which brought a colorful change to our event. Overall we believe that it was one of the best swimming carnivals we’ve had so far, with many more fun years to come for us to succeed in.
