Swimming Competitions

On Thursday 16 February 21 children across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 represented Essex Heights at the Mulgrave District Swimming event at the Monash Aquatic & Recreation Centre (MARC). The students were very excited to be representing their school and certainly should be extremely proud of their efforts.

All competitors performed their very best and showed great sportsmanship!

Numerous students received a ribbon for placing in the top three positions.

Huge thanks to Mrs Cotterell for marshalling our students for their swimming races whilst I was positioned at the finish line presenting place getters with their ribbons. Also, many thanks to the parents who helped at the event too. Your support is appreciated.

Our students were extremely well behaved and displayed our terrific Essex Heights sportsmanship, cheering on their teammates.

It was a great day!

Fantastic effort by all competitors!

We are the representatives for the Essex Heights swimming team. We are happy to say that our school did better than every other year, with our placement of fourth out of six schools. Everyone had so much fun and we all did our best.    Michelle C

Congratulations to everyone for trying their best in the District Swimming carnival. I think that everyone did so well. It was a very hot day but we still kept swimming. Most relay teams did very well and the medley relay team is going to Division. I would like to thank the parents who came to support us, plus Mrs Cotterell for marshalling our races and Mrs Hocking for organising the bus and timing the trial races.    Jayden T
