Grade 6 Graduation

This Thursday, our Grade 6 students undertake their graduation as part of their final week of primary school with us. This will take place at the stage near the gym from 6pm on Thursday. After a formal ceremony with some key messages and awards, the event will be a great way for the kids to celebrate their final year with their peers and teachers with some finger food and a disco to follow.

Following on from Thursday, our final assembly will showcase the dances that the Grade 6 students have created over the past few weeks. We will then create a guard of honour for the students to head out to the oval, where they will throw their graduation hats in the air.

On behalf of all the Buninyong Primary School, we would like to wish the year 6s well as they head off to secondary school next year. We know they are ready and will make the most of all the opportunities that are presented to them.

Please note: Only students departing the school and graduating are allowed to sign their school shirts on the final day.

“Thank you to Ballarat Laundry for their sponsorship and support with the Grade 6 graduation.

Ballarat Laundry clean any thing from school blazers, doonas blanket, curtains - you name it, they can clean it! Head to 711 Sturt Street and mention you are from ‘Buninyong Primary School’ for a 10% discount that can be used for any of their laundry services.“

Final Assembly Live Stream

A reminder that on the last day of term, we will be holding our final whole-school assembly. Whilst we are unfortunately unable to have parents attend in person, we will be streaming it live to those who wish to watch on. The link to the live stream will be distributed at a later date on Compass.

Once the inside proceedings are complete, our grade prep-grade 5 students will form a guard of honour for our Year 6 cohort who will head to the oval to throw their graduation hats. Whilst any parents of  our Year 6 students are unable to come inside for the first part of the assembly, you are more than welcome to wait on the oval for the ‘throwing of the hats’ section, where you will then be able to speak directly to your child after proceedings and take any photos.
