AMEB Exams

Congratulations to the following students who have undertaken AMEB exams this year. They have worked hard throughout the year to prepare pieces and work on technical skills to perform in front of an external examiner.

The boys need commending for having the perseverance and self-discipline to accomplish this alongside their school work.

Christmas Card Project

All Year 7 classes wrote Christmas cards for The Christmas Project to extend love to those in need this Christmas. These cards will be sent to people all around Australia.

The Gethsemane Christmas Card Project is an organization that sends Christmas cards to people suffering from mental health issues, a disability or those who are in residential or assisted living facilities.

St Gregory’s College was part of this initiative and during Catholic Studies classes earlier this term wrote Christmas cards. These cards will arrive just in time for Christmas to spread Christmas cheer!

A message from the AIEF

We have recently announced the premiere of Changing Our Nation, a special documentary which follows a group of students who are part of the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF) Scholarship Program.

In a one-hour television special, Sky News Australia will take viewers on a journey from our country’s most remote towns to the cities leading classrooms.  Hosted by FOX SPORTS Presenter Yvonne Sampson, Changing Our Nation premieres Thursday 10 December at 7:00pm AEDT.

You can visit https://www.skynews.com.au/page/changingournation to meet the students and watch a sneak peek of the special documentary.

This is one of the most significant projects we have undertaken for many years at AIEF and we would really like to encourage as many members of the community as possible to engage with the documentary and to learn more about the AIEF Program.  For those who do not have access to Sky News on Foxtel or WIN, the documentary will also be available on the microsite after it airs.

We are very excited to see this project come to life, celebrating the power of education and the ripple effect it has on our lives, our communities and our nation.
