Exploration and Imagination in Preschool

Over the last few weeks, the children have shown a keen interests in bears. This was demonstrated when the children had a picnic in the sandpit and were using their imagination to run away from a bear outside. 

We took their interest and created some engaging learning experiences. We set up a teddy bears picnic inside, along with a numeracy bear counting game and a story table of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. 

We also celebrated Reconciliation Week with a focus on learning about indigenous culture. The children had the opportunity to create some Aboriginal symbols in the playdough, decorate a hand print using dot painting and explore the meaning of the Aboriginal flag using the colours red, yellow and black.
