 Student Leaders

All of our student leadership teams have been actively engaged in some activities throughout the last few weeks. The Executive Leaders met recently and shared what they have been working on and their directions for the rest of the term.

Preschool Mentors - They have organised days to visit the preschool to work with the children and are looking forward to helping them at playtimes and assembly.

Library Leaders - The Library Leaders have organised activities in the library each Tuesday such as drawing and buddy reading. They also ran a scavenger hunt with another one to be organised soon.

Activities Leaders - A timetable detailing activities has been shared with all classes and these activities are being held at playtimes. They include chalk drawing, netball skills, ball games and radio show (plus others). 

Environmental Leaders - They are working on a roster for classes to feed the chickens and a naming competition for the chickens. The group also shared ideas for areas that could be improved in the school yard which helped with our working bee focus.

AV Leaders - It's a huge task to set up assembly each time and the AV Leaders are working hard with this. They are also responsible for setting up the equipment for the radio show for the Activities Leaders.

Communications Leaders - To ensure all students are aware of events, the Communications Leaders visited classes to promote and distribute flyers for the Mothers' Day stall. They have learnt about how to display information around the school and are trying to keep this consistent so our students and families know where to look for it.

Values Awards

This term we introduced Values Awards which will be announced at each assembly. Staff are looking to acknowledge students who are demonstrating any of our 3 values, Respect, Honesty and Courage, throughout the school day. This could be in learning time, when moving around the school or visiting different areas such as the office. Below are our winners from the week 3 and week 6 assembly.
