Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you so much for supporting our school, especially through fundraising. Next term, we are hosting a Colour Explosion School Fun Run to help us fundraise towards Mackellar’s 2023 Production.
When is the Colour Explosion School Fun Run? We will be hosting our Colour Explosion School Fun Run on Thursday 20th of July 2023 at 9:15am. Make sure students bring a WHITE shirt to wear during the Fun Run, they will be covered in non-toxic, biodegradable colour powder from head to toe! You can send the white shirt to school, clearly labelled with the student’s name, prior to the event. On Friday the 2nd of June, all students will receive their sponsorship booklet, that contains all the information needed, so they are ready to start fundraising on Monday the 5th June.
Is the powder safe? The non-toxic colour powder is made of high-quality corn starch and permitted food colours, so it’s safe for skin and eyes. Students with asthma are advised to be careful in their decision to participate.
How does my child fundraise? Fundraising for our event is easy – simply follow the instructions outlined in your child’s sponsorship booklet. Your child can accept donations online by creating a cybersafe fundraising profile at www.australianfundraising.com.au . You can also collect cash donations with your sponsorship booklet. Please return your donations by Monday 24/07/2023.
How do I order my child’s incentive prizes? You can order your child’s prizes online after the 20th of July 2023. Please complete the back page of your sponsorship booklet when you return your cash donations. Order one prize based on the total amount of dollars raised or mix and match smaller prizes.
Extra Incentives to Fundraise!
If you would like to be a volunteer on the day, please contact the office to express your interest with your Working With Children’s Check.
Thanks in advance for your support, and happy fundraising!

Student Wellbeing and Inclusion
Our Junior School Council seek to make a difference at our school as well as around the world. Our students have taken the time to select individuals we can help who require assistance to gain an education or support a family.
We are proud to share that our relatively small loans of $25 each have contributed to the lives of the following people who have paid back their loans:
Curong from Vietnam – to pay for some of his Primary School expenses.
Wati from Indonesia – to assist with the payments of her sewing machine so she can make a living for her family.
Anarkan from Kyrgyzstan – to assist with his farming tools to support a family.
Hang from Vietnam – to contribute to his Secondary School expenses.
