St A's Sports Report

In this week's Sport Report, we would like to recognise the efforts of our Cross Country Team and some St A’s superstars who continue to achieve some amazing results over the past few weeks.

Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the 63 students who represented St Augustine’s at the District Cross Country.

On a cold and wet day, it would've been easy to back out of the challenging Woodleigh terrain, however we all pushed through to finish the 1.2km and 2km circuits.

Congratulations to all involved for finishing 3rd overall on the day, great effort!

The following students also finished within the top 10 of their age groups:

Scarlett Hunt-Wilson

Lily Ross

Ava Aboujaber

Liam Zammit

Hamish Howden

Albert La Fontaine

Connor Boyd

Raff Treadwell

Evie Green

Eva Herbert

Ben Howden

Henry Bourke

Marqus Chunga

Aston Allan

Congratulations and we wish all the students attending the next event the best of luck!

In other news we would like to further congratulate Ben Howden & Marqus Chunga who recently advanced to the third stages of their School Sports Victoria trials in Football and Basketball.

The boys have had some great experiences up against some of the best talent in the State and we wish them all the best with their future trials.

We would also like to congratulate Esther Pendlebury as she attended the Nationals for Gymnastics on the Gold Coast last week. She competed against some of the best talent in the country and we are extremely proud of her efforts.

Well done Esther!

Lastly, we would like to announce the Term 2 House Colour Points so far!

Drum roll please…

In 4th place we have Nirnuk!

In 3rd place we have Corinella!

In 2nd place we have Murnalong!

Currently in first place we have Dorrong!

With so many events still to go this year, it is very close and still anyone’s to win so keep up the good work!

Thankyou & Go St A’s
