Sorry Day & Reconciliation Week

This week we have been recognising National Reconciliation Week at St Augustine's. The commemoration began last Friday on National Sorry Day with a liturgy led by 3/4TW. Thank you to the families that also supported our gold coin fundraiser for the 'Opening the Doors' foundation, the donations are greatly appreciated.

On Sunday, we celebrated our first combined Bunurong cluster mass at St John's for both Pentecost and Reconciliation Week. Thank you to the families who were able to attend, it was beautiful to see so many schools coming together to recognise, support, and be a voice for reconciliation.

Mini Vinnies

Full of ideas after our session with Mini-VInnies, our students have many ideas in the works!

Early next term, Mini-VInnies are working on having a collection of essential items to support the JPC Companion Van. They are also thinking of ways that we can have more permanent collection points at school so that families are able to donate extra essential items whenever they are able to.

Sacrament Preparation

Our Grade 4 Sacrament candidates are busy preparing for their first communion. On Wednesday we held our Family reflection evening. Keep them in your prayers at this time.

Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament

Jesus,

You are God-with-us, especially in this Sacrament of the Eucharist.

You love me as I am and help me grow.

Come and be with me in all my joys and sorrows.

Help me share your peace and love with everyone I meet.

I ask in your name.

Amen.

Confirmation

Grade six families were sent home an Operoo to indicate their intent for their child to make their Sacrament of Confirmation later this year. If you have not done so, could you please respond to this ASAP?

Class Mass

Today the junior school hosted their class mass for this Term around the theme of creation. Thank you to Fr Chinua for leading this with our students.
