Interview with Kerryn Meredith

Administration/First Aid

How long have you worked at

BNPS?

I have worked at BNPS for nearly 9 years now (wow times goes fast!) – initially as a Teacher Assistant, now First Aid Officer/Administration.

How wonderful is it for you to work with Nicole?

It has been a long-held dream of mine to work with Nicole, and it is everything I thought it would be and more!

Who inspires you?

Apart from Nicole, Sarah Murdoch inspires me. She is married into a hugely wealthy and influential family, however she is not seeking fame or putting her name onto perfumes at Chemist Warehouse, and spends a lot of her time helping a number of charities.

What is your favourite thing to do on weekends?

So many things – family time; eating out; catching up with friends; going for walks; gardening; shopping. Number one is probably shopping – I am an excellent shopper.

If you could go on a holiday anywhere in the World, where would you go?

Positano, a village on the Amalfi coast of Italy – it’s been on my bucket list for a long time, and hopefully I will get there one day.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Neither – I peak around 11.00am, once I have had my coffee (thanks to Annie!!).

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

Two things:

  • I didn’t go to university, but I completed a certificate in Fitness and Nutrition.
  • I won a competition for impersonating Peter Garrett (Midnight Oil) in a dance-off.

What recently made you smile?

Annie makes me smile/laugh every day at work, usually when she calls people she has known for years, the wrong name, or forgets to come back after doing the coffee run.

If you could swap places for a day, who would you choose?

Taylor Swift, at one of her concerts – to be able to write your own music and songs and perform in front of thousands of adoring fans - that would be incredible!

What would you like to say to the students at BNPS?

The same as I say to my children – always try your best and treat others the way you would like to be treated. You are all amazing in your own individual ways.
