Principal's Report
Thank you, Dr Emily Jones - Beaumaris Medical Centre
I would like to sincerely thank Dr Emily Jones and Nurse Christina from Beaumaris Medical Centre for attending our school and providing flu and Covid immunizations for staff wishing to take advantage of our “in school” medical surgery. Thank you to Kerryn for organising this on our behalf.
Open Mornings
Last week we proudly showcased our school to many prospective families who visited our two Open Mornings and our 2024 Prep Information Evening.
Our special visitors were able to visit all classrooms and specialist areas and experience firsthand the opportunities available at our school.
I would like to sincerely thank all staff and students for their support and assistance with these special events.
I would like to congratulate our school captains who assisted with the tours but also for orally presenting at these sessions.
We are now taking enrolment enquiries for 2024.
Mother’s Day
Last week our students were able to purchase special gifts for their mothers. Our Mother’s Day stall was made possible by our team of passionate parents who not only managed the stall, but prepared and purchased the gifts on sale. Thank you Anna Holmes, Alison Powell & Kerryn Van Der Merwe.
I would also like to thank the team of parents for running a special stall for our Year 5 students who were unable to attend on the advertised stall day.
Thank you, Li Ling, Ros Wells, Bridget Stickland, Stef Kelly, Paige Hill, Emma Tavender, Lauren Anthony, Jess Spoto, Nat Northey, Brooke Davies, Rochelle Rasiah, Asher Judah, Jill Turner, Cath Verlaan, Paola Murphy & Sarah Gowdie.
Prep Mother's Day Pampering
Last week the Prep mums were invited for an afternoon of pampering in the Prep Learning Centre. The children took great delight in spoiling their Mums with massages, manicures and make-up. Please enjoy this video of our mums having a dance with their children.
Cross Country
Congratulations to Kirsty Hall and her team for organising an excellent house Cross Country event. The school entrance was a sea of blue, red, green and gold as the children departed school for Balcombe Reserve where the cross country was held. The weather was perfect for the event and all students participated in a positive and enthusiastic manner. I would like to thank our team of staff who assisted our PE team on the day.
Please see the P.E page for lots of photos of the day.

Save The Date
Parent Teacher Interviews – Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 June
These Parent Teacher interviews will be held online, using the same Microsoft Teams platform that we used last year.
Keeping Our School Safe From Germs
There are many nasty germs circulating within the community. All staff are continuing to encourage their students to use hand sanitiser upon entry/exit from classrooms, after using the bathroom, and before and after eating. Air purifiers are turned on every morning by our Facilities Manager, Lee, and run throughout the school day.
Any student who is unwell should remain at home until all symptoms have resolved.
The Fate of the Fete
Thank you to those who attended the “Fate of the Fete” meeting on Monday night. It was great to have a bunch of enthusiastic parents along to show their support for a future fete.
There were a lot of people who had expressed their desire to help but where unable to make it to the meeting. We have put together a sign-up sheet for people to express their interest in either being on a Fete Committee or to be a stall holder.

If you would like to be involved, please add your name – this is just to give us a sense of whether we have enough parent support to get a fete up and running. Remember, a fete is parent led and without a strong group of volunteers it cannot go ahead.
