Spotlight on Students

Sydney West Girls Football

At the Sydney West Girls Football Championship carnival all girls were extremely well behaved, and demonstrated great sportsmanship but were unfortunately unsuccessful in their selection for the Sydney West Team. The girls also willingly offered a helping hand to another zone that didn't have enough players to field their team.

Congratulations to Casey F.

Zone Cross Country

On Wednesday 31st of May, students who finished in the top four at the DPS Cross Country carnival, competed in the Zone Cross Country at Greystanes Sports Oval. Congratulations to all students who competed and completed the challenging course. Debating

In Round 1 of the Premier’s Debating Challenge. Dundas Gold (Year 6) and Dundas Grey (Year 5) went up against Carlingford Public School.

For Dundas Gold, they were the negative team for the topic ‘that homework should be banned in primary schools’. Every speaker did an excellent job at persuading the audience why homework should NOT be banned! In fact, the adjudicator said that it was one of the BEST Round 1 Primary School debates she had EVER seen! Well done to the Gold team for winning their first debate of the year!

For Dundas Grey, they were the negative team for the topic ‘that students should get two chances at every test’. It was a tricky topic and a very close result, but the winning team was Carlingford. It was a fantastic effort for these first-time debaters.

Congratulations to both Dundas debating teams. What a fantastic start to the year!
