Teaching and Learning

End of Semester 1

We are rapidly approaching the end of Semester 1, with Semester 2 commencing on Tuesday 13 June. For many students this will see the opportunity to start new subjects, for others it will see a continuation of subjects.

Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have developed this semester in a variety of assessment tasks. COMPASS provides parents with the ability to monitor and support their child’s progress.

Semester 1 Reports will be available in the last week of Term 2.

Year 10 and 11 Exams

Year 10 and 11 exams commence for students on Monday 5 June and will conclude on Friday 9 June. Students and parents have received a copy of the exam timetable, which can also be found on Compass. Students are required at school only during their exam times. Bus travellers, who need to remain all day, are to study in Exam Private Study Room (Oak 6 & 7). Students are to be in full uniform for their exams.

We wish students all the best for their upcoming exams.

Year 10 AEL students will be participating in a Work Ready Program during Exam week. Details have been sent to families via COMPASS.

Year 10 Work Experience

Workplace learning programs are designed to achieve curriculum outcomes and enhance the vocational, educational and social development of students.

All Year 10 students will participate in our Work Experience program in the last week of Term 2.

Please discuss with, and support your child, in obtaining their work experience placement and the returning to school of their work experience forms. Beth Crossman, Pathways Coordinator will be able to support both you and your child with any questions you have.
