EISM Team Efforts Acknowledged

Senior students (Year 10 - 12) are halfway through their Winter Season in the EISM before Round 5 will resume on Wednesday 19 July. A special thanks to our Year 12s who set aside some time to represent the College during the Senior Summer Season and to the ones who are still involved in team sport during our Winter Season.

Our Seniors have been rewarded for their performances during Term 1 EISM team sport during a special Sport Assembly on Wednesday 26 April at the start of period 5. Coaches of each team were given the opportunity to hand the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Best Team Player (BTP) medals to their teams.

Athletic Season Ends With EISM Championships

Students who performed well during the EISM Division 2 Athletics at the start of May were invited to the EISM Athletic Championships on Thursday 25 May at Lakeside stadium in Albert Park.

We were able to take a team of 12 students to the EISM Championships this year. Most students attending the Championships improved on their Personal Best Performance with some only just missing out on a medal by finishing in fourth position.

Congratulations to Ryder Holland (7.1) who won gold in the U/13 Boys 1500m and bronze in the 800m. Ryder also finished fourth in the U/13 Boys 400m. A great performance by Ryder on the day. Daniella Licina (8.5) received a silver medal for her performance in the U/14 Girls Shot Put. Congratulations to Daniella on a great performance.

House Cross Country

It was a great atmosphere during our House Cross Country on Tuesday 16 May when students took to the 3,000m and 4,000m course. In comfortably cool running weather, a great contest between the three Houses took place, with students who participated gaining points for their House.

The course, the same as last year, was mainly on the College grounds to utilise as much of the property as possible. The U/15, U/16 and Open Boys ran through the Teardrop car park at the start and the end of their race for the extra 1,000m. The rest of the participants ran the main course excluding the Teardrop car park.
