Congratulations

Dylan Parks (Year 12) is currently overseas competing in rock climbing representing Australia. In Japan, Dylan performed very well, placing 57th in his first World Cup achieving four zones out of five climbs with zero tops. His Australian teammate also competing placed 85th. Both are pictured below in the Hachioji Arena in Tokyo at the end of competition.

Well done to Anthony del Popolo (Year 10) and Vincent Pappalardo (Year 8) who competed at the National Age Diving Championships in the term break. They both did very well in a tough competition.

Anthony’s results:

  • Fifth place in 1m Springboard
  • Fourth place in 3m Springboard
  • Fourth place in Platform 

Vincent’s results:

  • Second place in 1m Springboard
  • Third place in 3m Springboard 
  • Third place in Synchronised mixed 
  • Sixth Place in Platform

On Tuesday both Anthony and Vincent competed again, this time at the NSW CIS Diving Championships. Anthony placed third place in Springboard and second place in the platform events while Vincent placed second  place in Springboard and first place in the platform events. 

 

The College extends its congratulations to both Anthony and Vincent who will now move on to compete at the NSW All Schools Diving Championships in June.
