Learning Specialists

At the end of 2022 Kyabram P-12 College reshaped the leadership structure and through this process 3 Learning Specialists were appointed across the College.

Who we are: 

What is our role?

We will be working with teaching teams with a focus on teaching and learning in our classrooms.

What will we spend our time doing?

We will be opening our classrooms to demonstrate lessons to others, as well as providing teachers with opportunities to participate in mentoring and coaching to better their own teaching practice.

What have we been up to so far?

We have been busy engaging in Professional Development around coaching and lesson observations and we are using this learning to further refine our own Kyabram P-12 coaching model and observation protocols. 

At Kyabram P-12 College we have a culture of continuous improvement in our teaching and learning. By having an increased presence in classrooms through observations we can learn from the wealth of knowledge and expertise that our staff have and further enhance student learning. We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to work with a variety of teaching staff across the college, observe and share the amazing work they do, as well as engage with our students about their learning.
