Harmony Day Celebrations

Last Friday, NHS celebrated Harmony Day- a day to promote a sense of belonging, diversity, inclusiveness, and respect. Everyone was encouraged to wear a splash of orange and there were a range of activities for students to participate in throughout the day. At lunch time, the International Student Leaders and the Student Wellbeing team held a “Taste of Harmony” stall. We sold almost 200 Brown Sugar Bubble Tea drinks- which went down a treat! The International Student Leaders created posters about the history of Bubble Tea for students to read. Thank you to the students and staff for your assistance and we look forward to holding more events like Harmony Day throughout the year.

External Parenting Workshops

Sleep Hygiene: Headspace Greensborough, in partnership with Austin Health Youth Engagement and Treatment Team Initiative (YETTI), will be delivering an information webinar for parents/carers and members of the community.

Sleep is essential for young people to feel their best and do their best, but many young people get far less sleep than they need.

This information session, run by experienced Youth Mental Health Clinicians, aims to explore why many young people don’t get enough good quality sleep and will explore practical sleep hygiene tailored for young people.
