Assistant Principal's Note

It has been a wonderful first term at Clifton Hill Primary School.

This week’s Colour Run day was a tremendous success and we would like to thank our parent volunteers for donating their time to the school on this day. The children enjoyed tabloid sports, a disco and a run – with many children opting in for the special sausage lunch! It was so wonderful to see our children (and staff!) smiling, connecting and experiencing the pure joy of a day of fun at school.

We know that wellbeing is central to our job here as teachers – and this day was a showcase of just how wonderful school can be. Our values of “Gratitude” and “Inclusiveness” are entrenched within the day – we are grateful for our friends and our opportunities at CHPS and we are inclusive of everyone.

Term One has set the scene for 2023 – we are enthusiastic about the rest of the year. We have had a solid term of learning at school whilst getting to know each other in our new classes. Congratulations to our Foundation students on their first term at school! They have navigated learning about their new school routine, made friends and enjoyed learning fundamental literacy and numeracy concepts. We are proud of you!

We wish you all a happy and restful break over the school holidays. We look forward to seeing everyone fresh and ready for our Term 2 fun!
