Term 2 InquiRE - Cause & Effect

This term, students will be exploring the concept of Cause & Effect during their inquiRE sessions.

Years Prep to 3 will explore this big idea with a science focus. Through guided investigations and workshops students will endeavour to find answers to the question - How does our world change?

Our Year 4/5/6 students will investigate Cause & Effect through workshop sessions that aim to find answers to the question - How is our world influenced by Cause and Effect? Students will use the knowledge and skills gained in their workshop sessions to develop and complete a personal project on an area of interest connected to our big idea.

Premiers' Reading Challenge - LAST CHANCE!!

Premiers' Reading Challenge has begun for 2023. This year, children are encouraged to be "wild about reading" to help them gain important skills and knowledge through reading.

Students from Prep to Grade 2 are challenged to read or experience 30 books. For students from Grade 3 to Year 6, the challenge is to read 15 books.

If your child is interested in participating in this challenge, please request for your child to be registered by emailing me at dgeorge@smbelgrave.catholic.edu.au so Lisa Norris (Library Technician and 4/5 Learning Support Officer) can register your child through our school portal.

The challenge runs until 8 September which gives everyone plenty of time to reach their goal. Please see the welcome letter from The Hon Daniel Andrews MP below for more information.

Happy reading!
