Student Achievements

Senior and Intermediate Girls Netball

Our Senior and Intermediate Netball teams recently took part in an InterSchool tournament at Casey Stadium. Our Intermediate A team won against Edenbrook Secondary and our Intermediate B team won against Officer Secondary College. Our Senior team lost their matches, but their level of skills kept improving throughout the day. Well done to all of the teams for their exemplary behaviour and the incredible effort they put in to their games.

Intermediate AFL Boys Football

On Monday 1st May, our Intermediate AFL team visited Sweeney Reserve in Narre Warren to compete in the Intermediate Cardinia Region Interschool Football event. Our team played extremely well - beating Kambrya College in the second half of their match, but unfortunately ultimately losing the game. We are immensely proud of the way in which they conducted themselves on the day. They put in a lot of hard work and we were impressed by both their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm.

Chess Regional Tournament

Congratulations to our chess players on their Third Place at the recent Regional Chess Tournament held in April - a remarkable result!

Our school hosted 130 competitors from seven colleges including schools from Berwick, Brighton, Seymour and Drouin.

We had a very strong team with 13 of our students qualifying for the Secondary Open State Finals, which will take place in October and also three of our students qualifying for the Secondary Girls State Final, taking place later this year.

Our strong female team (with Pakenham Secondary College coming third in the State last year), achieved exceptional results with Gowri Prabhu receiving a Gold Medal, Alexandra Fitzgerald receiving a Silver Medal and Malia Nimaya achieving a Bronze Medal.

Other outstanding achievements include Jerby Alasco, Nonso Chukwumela-Agha, Amrit Dhillon, Sinsarut Chitkanwong and Trey Handley, all winning Bronze medals.

Well done to all of our competitors who were a credit to our College.
