From the Principal's desk

We are now into our third week of Term 3 and it has been great watching the children settle back into their learning. Over the last couple of weeks the children have been reading and composing poetry. I have seen some well crafted pieces on display as well as some great hands on activities in Maths. Reading is once again our focus for Term 3 and each week teachers are awarding a child from their class the Reader of the Week.  I encourage everyone to log onto our facebook page each Friday to see the student awards as teachers are now posting these online.

Thank you to all our families for following our processes and procedures around Covid19. The different entry and exit points are working smoothly and we have not had issues with adults congregating around the school. We do however have quite a few pieces of clothing in the lost property. Over the next couple of days we will bring these items out to the front gate for your perusal. Just a reminder that children need to bring water bottles to school and that parent communication should be made by ringing the office, as we are trying to reduce the number of adults entering our building. The children are doing an excellent job with their hand hygiene and it has now become part of our daily practice.

The Victoria Government has recently subscribed to the Positive Parenting Program and there are a wealth of resources available for all Victorian parents. Please go to the Wellbeing page in this newsletter to see all the available information. I think you will find their advice around parenting during Covid19 helpful. Link below also:

Parent Teacher phone interviews take place next Wednesday so don't forget to book in through Compass. This is also a Student Free Day. If you are having any issues just contact the office.
