Classroom News - Kindergarten

Kindergarten have been working hard!

The children have been working very hard in all of their learning. 

We have started reading 'tricky words' in our Initialit program (I, the, my, a, is) as well as continuing to learn and revise sounds. The children have also been working hard on their writing especially when sounding out words. 

In Maths, we have been focusing on 'teen' numbers. This can be tricky for children to master. Some games to practise counting in the teens (for example; counting cars of a certain colour when driving) would be great practice!

In Religion, we have started learning about God's family. We have been talking about promises and the story of Abraham and Sarah. 

The children are very interested in our new unit about the weather and know a lot of different types of weather that we experience.
