Classroom News - Year 4

Welcome to Week 8! The term has certainly passed quickly.

We have been continuing our Pentecost unit focusing on people who have shown courage in their lives. The children have investigated their own Saint or Hero, creating a Slideshow and presenting it to the class.

We have recently been learning about Child Protection issues including relationships, protective situations within the home, the farm and in the community. We are beginning to look at the Earth, Sun and the Moon in our Science unit. 

The children will be writing an Information Report about the Sun for Big Write this week. Our writing focus is improving our writing by using capital letters and full stops, successfully, (this sounds easy, but continues to prove challenging) and making sure each sentence makes sense. Our editing and up-levelling skills are improving.
