CONVENT RESTORATION

It is very exciting to see the start of works in the convent, in particular, the beginnings of a fresh canvas coming together in E7 which will eventually evolve into the new Mercy Heritage Centre. However, there is plenty of structural work to be completed before all the excitement of aesthetic displays! I look forward to keeping you all informed of the progress.

Besides the work in E7, we will work simultaneously on restoring the other downstairs areas of the convent, including E6, E5, E3 and the Enright Room.

Work is currently underway to carefully store the heritage items within the Convent so that these restoration works can take place. It is so important to the heritage of our college and community that all these items are treated with respect and care.
