Primary Hockey

The Primary Hockey players have had a great start to their rosters.  The Year 1/2 Quarter Field team commenced their roster two weeks ago, playing very strongly and scoring plenty of goals.  Last Saturday the Year 3 team played their first game with some help of some Year 2 students, having a great game against St Mary’s.  Mount Carmel is also now represented by some Year 5/6 students in the Open Primary competition.

Thanks to the fabulous hockey coaching group of Adrian Halliday, Liza Goodall, Peter Bakker, Bec O’Halloran, past student Kate Prendergast and Year 8 student Rhiannon Lincoln.

Secondary Athletics

The SSATIS Athletics Carnival will proceed on Tuesday 8 September in a modified format and the State event (SATIS) is now cancelled on Saturday 19 September.  The event will be a Challenge Pennant, with Under 14 events (Year 7/8) will be in the morning and U16 events (Year 9/10) in the afternoon.

Students interested in participating in Athletics will attend training sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7am–8am at the Domain Athletics Centre commencing next week.

Interested students will also be able to represent the College at additional events at the All Schools Athletics Carnival to be held later in the year.
