PIVOT STUDENT PERCEPTION SURVEY

Teaching Effectiveness

Between Tuesday 22 March – Friday 1 April, your child may participate in the Pivot Student Perception Survey on, Teaching Effectiveness for some of their classes.

What is Pivot?

Pivot is a short, online Student Perception Survey on Teaching Effectiveness. It is a method to get authentic, timely feedback from our students on teaching practices aligned to professional standards.

Hearing, valuing, and acting on student feedback can enormously benefit teachers. When teachers and students work together to understand issues affecting them, teachers gain valuable information that enables them to improve their practice to better meet their students' needs.

How is PIVOT administered?

The survey is administered to students twice within an academic year. Each teacher's results report is confidential, ensuring that the Pivot approach and the collection of student perceptions on teaching practice is treated as a professional learning opportunity.

The survey is completed by students anonymously: no student identifying information is collected. The survey questions can be listened to in audio format and a host of common languages to ensure that all students are supported to participate.
