Liam from 7A is currently learning how to play the Trumpet with our wonderful Instrumental Music teachers, and he wanted to share his new found skill.
He waited patiently until the end of Year 7 Community time, to finish off our session with a quick recall of 'Mary had a little lamb'.
Liam is just one of the many students in 7A who play an instrument; Hue plays the flute, Tanner is learning the guitar, Caleb hits some drums and Evelyn plays just about everything. So much fun!

Year 7's have competed in the first ever Ninja assault course run by and supported by our Year 11 students.
Most of the Year 7's participated more than once to beat their initial score, whereas some students came along to cheer on their classmates. So much FUN!

On Tuesday 22 March, we were enjoying the mild autumn morning by conducting our experiments outside. All we needed were our Chromebooks, tennis balls, different surfaces and measuring tapes.
Students were completing this task, so they are ready to complete their last Learning Task for the term. Collaboration was the key to the success of this investigation.
Both classes did a phenomenal job! It was hard to keep on task and not break into a quick game of 'downball' - impressive effort everyone!

Earlier in March, students in 8K made amazing Beef Burgers with Ms Stavrou.
Hello, this is Oliver and Luci, this year we are the Year 8 Captains. Together we have written a summary of some of the things that have happened this year so far in Year 8.
This year we have had quite a few events already, such as the swimming carnival and lots of inter-school sport competitions; boys and girls cricket and volleyball. Also a couple of High Abilities Programs for Maths and English have been run by VHAP (Victorian High Abilities Program), involving other schools in the area to push students to learn more advanced skills in Maths and English.
In the stadium on Monday lunchtimes, there has been basketball practice for kids who are interested in further developing their expertise in basketball.
There is a large variety of really fun lunchtime clubs including; Book Lovers, Ceramics Club, Healthy Bodies, Downball Club, Gamers Club, and Frisbee Friday!
Elevate Education came out to the school to help enhance students' note taking skills. This has been helpful because it has provided us with the tools to complete our homework better, as well as help us take better notes in class by using highlighters, different coloured pens and note organization.
We are looking forward to what the rest of the semester will bring including, the Year 8 Wellbeing Day coming up next term and Summit Camp in Term 3.
Thank you for your time.
