Year 9 Careers Day Out
Wednesday 18 May at DECA, Wanganui Road, Shepparton.
The bus will depart from St Augustine’s College at 12:15pm and return at 3:15pm. Students are required to wear their full school uniform and to bring their own lunch, snacks and water.
The aim of Careers Day Out is to provide regional students with the opportunity to discover the diverse range of careers, education, pathways and employment available across the region. The event will host a range of workshops, demos and talks to provide students with the opportunity to engage and interact with local businesses and trades to see what the workplace is all about. The College will monitor the Covid-19 situation and provide updates if there are any Government and CES Ltd regulations that may affect attendance at this Careers Expo.

Year 10 Students & Tomorrow Bound Careers Expo 2022
This event will be held on Thursday 26th May at the Bendigo Stadium, 134 Marong Road, West Bendigo. A booking has been made for Year 10 students to attend this expo from 11:00am - 12:15pm.

Work Experience 2022
Coordinator: Peter Fawcett
Work Experience is the short term placement of secondary school students with employers to provide insights into the industry and the workplace in which they are located. It provides students with the valuable opportunity to develop employability skills, explore possible career options, understand employer expectations and to increase their self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence.
Year 10 students are allocated one week during the school academic year to participate in a work experience placement.
10A: Monday to Friday 20-24 June
10 Partnerships: Monday to Friday 22-26 August
10B: Monday to Friday 12-16 September
10C: Monday to Friday 17-21 October

Students may request additional work experience placement opportunities that align with their learning program. For further information please contact the Work Experience Coordinator.
Year 10 Students
Students may request to participate in additional Work Experience during the holidays in Terms 1, 2 and 3, but not during the holidays at the end of the year (i.e. the Christmas/summer holiday period).

Years 11 & 12 Students
Students may request to participate in a Work Experience placement during the holidays in Terms 1, 2 and 3, but not during the holidays at the end of the year (i.e. the Christmas/summer holiday period).
