Dear Hakea Learning Community,

Term 2 has well and truly started, and the learning is in full swing. The Year 7 cohort is back from camp having had a wonderful experience,  and a great opportunity to connect with fellow student and teachers in a new setting.

The Hakea SRC is working hard on bringing everyone together, hosting our first Uno Tournament, and gearing up for a great outing at the Athletics Sports. We are encouraging all Hakeans to dress in Gold, and support each other in our first whole school event in quite a while.

Our congratulations go out to Ahmed A, Daniel T and Zainab M for winning our first Art competition, voted on by Hakeans and other visitors to the House.

There will be something for everyone this term, so we are hoping to see every student involved and showing us their talents and skills.

Please be aware that Winter Uniform is now required for all students.  If there are any issues with this, please send a note with the student and we will be able to work together to rectify the situation.

Term 2 is always a busy one, full of opportunity continuing our focus with students and teachers, of universal high expectations and individual support.
