Sporting Change
Dandenong High School has partnered with the South-East Monash Legal Service (SMLS) to provide a new and interesting program.
SMLS workers attend with representatives from professional sporting teams and agencies to conduct this program. The team lead 1 hour of sport instruction followed by a short education session on a selected legal issue that has relevance for adolescents. An example of the legal input could be - What are my rights in a casual/part-time after school job?
The program is available to students in Years 7, 8, 9 or 10 and is conducted in and around the Melaleuca Building every Thursday afternoon starting at 3.30pm and concluding by 5.00pm.
