Year 7 Camp:

Phillip Island Adventure Resort

Wednesday 27th - Friday 29th April

Year 7 Camp was an amazing experience filled with so many good memories, happiness and fun. It was a time we could get away from the stress at school and home. We had so much fun with our friends and because of that our relationships deepened with each other. We made unforgettable memories and had so much fun during activities.

On the first day of camp, group six, which Mrs Leemann was in charge of, had the wet activities: canoeing and raft making. Canoeing was really fun but most of us fell in and it was hilarious! The next activity for the day was raft making. We had plastic tubes, wood and string. We placed the wood on top of the plastic tubes and used the string to tighten it. We won the raft race and we got chocolate as a prize!

The next day we had the busiest day of the whole camp! We had the initiative course, giant swing, free time and bushman’s breakfast. The initiative course was all about teamwork and communication. The giant swing was a scary but fun activity. All the students and teachers went on it and their reactions were hilarious. At last, we had bushman’s breakfast. We made pancakes and roasted marshmallows. We had dinner, watched Jumanji and “slept”.

The next day was the last day and we did archery and the high ropes course. Archery was really fun and only a few people got bullseye. I didn't. The lucky last activity was the high ropes course and we heard so many bad things about it. Despite the bad comments, I did the strength course and it was scary, fun and hilarious to see people freak out. After that we cleaned our cabins and got onto the bus. We stopped at a beach for lunch and continued our journey to school. When we went home, the best thing was having a hot shower and drinking Melbourne water.

Camp was an unforgettable experience!
