For families in need of additional support following the pandemic, whether that be for food relief or assistance with paying bills and medicines or crisis Intervention. These services in your community can help.
Salvation Army Hobsons Bay Ph: 9398 1750 108 Queen Street, Altona Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 10am-1pm Services: Food relief and assorted produce hampers, case worker available to assist with financial hardship & advice. Call beforehand or just turn up at the side doorway!
Laverton Community Integrated Services Ph: 8368 0177 Laverton Community Hub 95-105 Railway Ave, Laverton VIC 3028 Monday, Wednesday’s & Friday's from 10am - 12:45pm
Services: Food relief hampers, vouchers and/or financial support. Call ahead or just drop in! Services: Crisis Intervention social workers Mon -Fri 10-2pm. Assist with housing, financial/budgeting advice, relationships, drugs and alcohol counselling. |
A Co-Design Workshop Run by the Hobsons Bay Youth Services Team
Are there students at you school who would be interested in participating in a co-design workshop in their local community?
What: A collaborative co-design workshop with Hobsons Bay City Council’s Youth Service team to help plan a new project for local young people.
When: Saturday 14th May 2022 11am - 4pm
Where: Newport Community Hub, 15 Mason St Newport (Level 2 Youth Lounge)
Who: Young people aged 12-25 who live, study or work in Hobsons Bay
By participating students will receive the following:
- An opportunity to meet some other interesting people from their area
- Have a say about things that matter to them
- A delicious lunch and snacks throughout the day
- A personalised certificate of attendance
