School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting
The next PFA meeting will be the Annual General Meeting which will be held on Thursday 12th May at 9am in the Davey Building Conference Room (school administration building). This is a great opportunity to meet new parents, staff and a place where you can share your ideas for fundraising and how you would like to see the money raised to be spent on your children. All parents are encouraged to attend and toddlers are welcome. Please note due to covid regulations, you do need to be double-vaxed or be able to show proof of exemption.
Easter Raffle – Wednesday 6th April
The chocolates have been on the shelves since Boxing Day so we are now asking for donations towards our annual PFA Easter Raffle. Anything and everything Easter related can be donated which will be turned into one of the many wonderful prizes. Raffle sheets have been sent home. Donations can be left at the office. We are looking for helpers to wrap prizes on Thursday 31st March at 9am. Please contact the office if you are able to help. Tickets and money are due back to the office by Friday 1st April.
Hot Cross Bun Drive coming up...
The Parents and Friends (PFA) and Bakers Delight Wendouree would like to offer you the opportunity to purchase delicious Hot Cross Buns and make a profit for our school/kinder. The more buns you purchase the more profit we make. For every 6 pack of Hot Cross Buns you order, Bakers Delight Wendouree will give $2.00 to our school/kinder. Simply log in to your Qkr! app and select how many and which Hot Cross Buns you would like to order. There are 5 varieties to choose from (Traditional, Choc Chip, Apple & Cinnamon, Berry Ripe, Fruitless) and each 6 pack of Hot Cross Buns cost $8.00. Orders close on Thursday 31st March and buns will be ready to collect from school on Thursday 7th April. Sorry, no late orders will be accepted after closing date. If you would prefer to place your order using cash or EFTPOS, please collect an order form from the school general office. If you haven't got a Qkr! app account, and would like further information, please contact the office staff and they will help you. Remember to ask family and friends if they would like to order some too! Thank you for your support.
Second-hand Uniform Shop
The second-hand uniform shop will be open weekly this term on a Friday afternoon from 2.45pm in the Brady Building Library. Gold coin donation per item please. If you have any uniform items that are in good condition, you are welcome to bring these along on Friday afternoon or can be dropped into the school administration office any time.
Cookbooks – Grow, Harvest, Prepare, Share - $5 per book
The Parents and Friends Association have produced this beautiful, full colour cookbook printed on luxurious high quality paper. This fantastic book is sure to last a lifetime, making it a great memento from our school, kindergarten and community of Miners Rest. All recipes featured in the book have been tried and tested. The cook book will be selling for $5.
Student Display Folders
Through the PFA, we also have Student Display Folders for sale for $15 each. These are
great for storing your child's reports, achievement certificates etc. Both the Display Folders and Cookbooks are available from the School General Office.
School Lunches – Monday and Thursday through Quickcliq.com.au
Lunches need to be ordered online through the website www.quickcliq.com.au. Please note: sauce is provided in each classroom, and you cannot specify which colour donut. Some days, not all items are available or sell out quickly. We recommend to try and order as early as possible, with orders closing at 8.30am on the day of delivery. Please update your child’s profile to reflect the correct teacher and room (this saves a lot of time when the caterers are distributing the lunches into the classroom containers).
