SAE exclusive ‘Create for a Day’ school holiday workshops – Saturday 9 April, 10am to 3pm
Are you creatively inclined and thinking about studying creative media? Create for a Day will get you behind the scenes and pursuing your passion! These workshops have been designed to expand student skills and get them working on inspiring creative projects in the fields of Animation, Audio, Design, Film, Games, Music Production or Songwriting. Students will get the chance to experience life as an SAE student and discover what it means to be a creative professional in state-of-the-art facilities with industry experts by their side. On the day, students will learn valuable practical and collaborative skills as they work towards building a creative piece of work. They will also receive a certificate of participation to acknowledge the creative project they have undertaken. Due to the tertiary level of the workshop content, this event is open to anyone aged 15yrs and above (Year 10 and over). All workshops run at the same time, therefore only one workshop type can be attended by an individual. Cost: $25 per person with lunch included. For more details and to register click here.
Photography Studies College FREE Experience Day for current Year 11 & 12 students
Photography Studies College (PSC Melbourne) will be hosting a special free school holiday photography event just for Year 11 & 12 students. This will be a special "hands-on" event for students interested in studying a creative course or considering a creative career in photography. Students can experience what it's like to be a student at PSC before they start. PSC invite students to experience their dedicated creative campus, take part in a live studio shoot, and meet PSC teachers and current students. Lunch is also provided.

Academy of Interactive Entertainment Industry Experience Day – Thursday 21 April, 10am to 3pm
AIE’s Industry Experience Day is a great opportunity for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 to learn about the local and international game development, 3D animation and visual effects industries. Students will get the opportunity to learn about the different pathways to get into the industry, what should be in a portfolio and will be able to get creative in practical workshops using industry-standard 3D animation and game development tools. The sessions are run by industry professionals who have worked on some blockbuster games and films. Everything is provided for you to participate in the hands-on workshops and you will be using the same software that is used in the industry. For more info and to register click here.

Mocktail Film Award 2022 – submissions now open and close 8 May 2022
JMC Academy invites high school students in NSW, QLD and VIC to submit their short film and go into the running to win awesome prizes to the value of $2,500 for themselves and their school. Genre includes short fiction, short documentary, short animation, television commercial or music video. The judges are looking for: originality, emotional impact, performance, direction and low budget initiative. Submissions for the 2022 Mocktail Film Award close on 8 May. Find out more and enter here.
