Year Five/Six News

This fortnight in 5/6 has heavily revolved around the upcoming ANZAC Service that will be held first day back at school. Students have been writing about what ANZAC means to them and practising their performance for the day. They have also been continuing their unit in Integrated Studies, creating a Keynote presentation about ANZAC Day. In Reading, we have been learning about different forms of poetry and creating some of our own including cinquain and haiku. In Writing, we have been continuing our Writing Workshop process. Creating a range of writing genres for different purposes and audiences. In Maths, we finished this term learning about the order of operations (BIDMAS), including the rules of adding and subtracting negative numbers. We look forward to seeing parents this week for student-led conferences and to the end of term 1.

Happy Easter.
