At Miners Rest OSHC we offer many varied types of care for ages 3 years old and up. 

One of our sessions that we provide is Wrap Around Care (WAC). WAC is for the Kinder children, where we walk down and collect children from the Kinder. There is "Short Stay WAC" which starts at 1.45 (when the Kinder session finishes), children can stay until the end of school, or for full WAC, until 6pm. This is a great service, especially aiding in children transitioning into Foundation the following year. Children play with the big school kids on the playground and are familiar with school routines and staff, as well as free play such as dress ups dancing in our stage, and dramatic play with our toy kitchen and dolls house just to name a few. 

We also offer "Vacation Care" during School Holidays and Curriculum Days. 

For our recent Curriculum Day, we took a walk down to Kinder and enjoyed a lovely play there, reminiscing of the time they spent there as Kinder kids. There was much excitement and conversations of "I remember this!". We foster our relationship with the Kinder, utilising this community to strengthen children's learning and growth. 

The children had so much fun zooming down the hill on the bikes and rollers. We encourage risky play as it has many benefits to children, including building resilience and persistence, fostering self-esteem, gaining awareness of capability, testing boundaries and limits, learning about and challenging themselves, developing motor skills, like balance and coordination. 

We have School Holidays coming up, where we provide themed days for the children to enjoy. We've got a jam-packed program (see below) that all the children will love! Remember to contact us via email, and fill in our booking form.

All of our care is affordable, with many families able to claim child care benefit or subsidy.

Additional Information: Opening hours: 8:00am - 5:30pm on the above days. Please note, we are NOT open on 15th April and the 18th of April due to the public holidays. The holiday program is open to Kinder (3-4 years) and school aged children. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided daily as well as a selection of different activities. PLEASE NOTE: Lunch will not be provided on Wednesday the 13th of April and Thursday the 21st of April due to special activities/excursions. On these days, please provide a lunch similar to what you would pack on a school day in your child's bag. Further, if your child does not eat the food listed on our menu, please provide a lunch similar to what you would pack on a school day. It is advised that on all days in the holiday program students wear/bring; 

• Old clothes that cover shoulders and can get messy 
• Closed shoes for outdoor play
• A wide brimmed hat
• A water bottle
