From the Principal
Term 1, Week 10, Kevin Kennedy
Dear Families,
Thank you
I would like to thank the parents and cares for their patience this term. Due to COVID, staffing the school has been extremely challenging and it has been very disruptive to the teaching and learning programs. At its peak we had 87 students absent and a quarter of the staff unavailable, it has been a term like no other.
To their credit the students have handled it in their stride. Staff have continued on enthusiastically despite the challenges, they too deserve a pat on the back. Hopefully next term, with some relaxing of COVID regulations we can get back to some normality.
Swimming
Despite the cooler conditions it has been nice to see the students using the pool this week, they have really enjoyed it. I would like to thank all the parent volunteers for their time and we are looking forward to using it again later in the year.
Did you know?
You may not be aware that we have two other schools using our school site in the evenings. The International School of Languages runs Chinese language classes on Monday night and the Bangladeshi School Australia run classes on Sunday evenings. West Beach Primary School values diversity and multiculturalism and we look forward to continuing to share our site with both schools into the future.
If you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Kevin Kennedy
Principal
