Easter Coin Trail

Our teachers, students and volunteer families have been busy counting, counting, counting!  Thank you for all the wonderful coin donations received to make this years Easter Coin trail a huge success for every class across our school.  We are excited to hear the results from our hard working PFC soon!

We heard from 5/34 who completed some interesting math work with their coins:

First, we completed some estimates in our books based on the weight of our milk bottle. We estimated the total monetary value, the amount of coins we had and the length of our coin trail. 

After completing our estimates, we set off to find out our data. We counted our coins into arrays and dollars. Then totaled it all up at the end. Based on each monetary value of coin, we were then able to work out how many coins we had. 

Finally, it was time for our coin trail. Everyone got involved and had a lot of fun!
