Music

Hola amigos/amigas!

Another great week in music across the board!

Prep-1s have been practising non-stop for their upcoming Week 10 assembly cultural week performance of the song La Feria! They can practice at home with the link provided:

We have been looking at the location of the festival on Google Earth and looking at all the Spanish offers including a Ferris wheel (rueda de la fortuna), bumper cars (los carritos chocones) and the haunted house (la casa de los espantos) to name a few!

They have been also making short compositions on the glockenspiel and keyboards!

Grade 2-3s are still working on their compositions and learning how to put notes onto a treble clef! They are using 'FACE in the space' to find the letters in the gaps and 'Every Good Burrito Doesn't Fall' (EGBDF) are the lines. They can practice using the link below:

Grade 4-6s are also doing similar work placing their notes onto the treble clef and working on playing the notes in time to the beat. They are also working on their cultural week song. Ukuleles are ready to roll but will be put on ice until Term 2 when we can start afresh before shredding notes and chords somewhere over the rainbow!
