Reading for Life parent seminar

ONE of the most important things for all parents to understand is role they play in making reading a valued part of their child’s life. At an upcoming seminar at St Norbert College, hosted by the Parent Committee, educator Mike Mueller (pictured below) will explore how reading can be framed in ways that adolescents can understand and respect, as well as outlining a range of strategies that can allow for reading to become a valued part of their lives.

Mike has been an English and English Literature teacher for more than 20  years. He has worked at Trinity College, Newman College and is presently at Aquinas College, where he joined in 2016. He was Head of English at both Newman and Aquinas, and also worked at the Director of the Learning Centre (Library) in 2019. Mike is passionate about all aspects of English with a particular love of reading, and considers it a privilege to be work with students, regardless of their age, abilities or learning needs.
