FIRE Carriers

Why I wanted to be a FIRE Carrier

By Max S, Year 5

I wanted to be a FIRE Carrier because when I was growing up I was taught about the Indigenous community, the dream time and some of their sacred stories, like when Bunjil the wedge-tail eagle created the land, the plants and animals.

When I travelled to the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland, I found the Indigenous culture very interesting. I like to learn about when the European settlers came to Australia from the Aboriginal point of view.

I wanted to be a FIRE Carrier so I could encourage others to promote the school values to the Indigenous community as well as the Catholic community.
