Farewell from Jayne

To the beautiful children, staff and families of the OLHC community,

It is with an excited but heavy heart that I wish to inform you that I will be leaving Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School this Monday the 20th of March 2023 as I am moving to the UK.

I have worked at OLHC for almost 5 years as an LSO and have loved every second I have been able to work here. From remote learning, to changing of staff and principals, to new and old students moving throughout the school, I have been here through it all. I started back in June of 2018 as a fill-in for another LSO member whilst they were away on holidays and from that amazing opportunity I was lucky enough to be given the chance to work at OLHC permanently.

I will be moving to the northern part of England to a small country town called Stanhope. I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life and to see where it takes me, but also very sad to be leaving my life, friends and family here in Australia and to be leaving this wonderful school community. It’s all exciting and scary at the same time but I know with the love of the people I have here in Australia and the love of the people I have over in the UK, and the guidance of God, I will be more than okay.

There are so many things I am going to miss about OLHC, from the wonderful and kind families I have been blessed to know in my time here, to the amazing staff I have been lucky enough to work alongside with. But most of all I am going to miss the children. I truly have never met such a beautiful bunch of children like I have at OLHC and every single one of you has taught me something and holds a special place in my heart. Seeing your bright and happy faces saying hello to me in the school grounds or out in the community and watching you all grow into such strong and kind children has truly been the most incredible part of working here at OLHC.

I will miss you all so much and I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

With all my love,

Jayne Carroll
