Junior School Update

Year 6 Camp

The Year 6 students departed the College on Wednesday morning and arrived at their first stop, the Mary MacKillop Centre in South Perth. After journeying through the life of Mary MacKillop they departed for Woodman Point Recreation Camp.

Upon arrival at the campsite, they got straight into activities; zip-lining down the Flying Fox and beach challenges. In addition, there was raft building, team building games, rock climbing, food galore, a quiz night, a movie night as well as a liturgy on the final night. All this was topped off with the Year 6 Surprise of ……. a visit to Cockburn ARC Aquatic and Recreation Centre!

It has been a wonderful experience full of what are sure to become treasured memories.

The students embraced all challenges and rose to the occasion.

Thank you to the staff that attended - Mrs Jeeves, Mrs Rozario, Mr Jansen, Mrs Fiolo and Mrs T.

The children and staff will sleep well tonight!

Mrs Christine Pitman

Head of Junior School (Year 3 to Year 6)

A Message from the School Health Nurse

Scoliosis is an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine. It can be detected by a simple examination of the back.

The normal spine has three curves – one in the neck, on in the upper back and one in the lower back. These curves can be seen from the side, but when you look from behind the spine should appear straight. If the spine has a sideways curve, this is scoliosis.

Please read through the scoliosis information provided by Raising Children Network and check your child for scoliosis as described. Scoliosis in children and teenagers | Raising Children Network

If you have any concerns, please contact your General Practitioner or Community Health Nurse.
