Hands On Learning
The Hands on Learning (HoL) program offered at our school gives an opportunity for students to apply their skills in other areas. HoL allows school students to participate 1 day per week in various practical projects, which may be within the school or outside in the local community.
Some examples include building a wooden toolbox to hold their tools ready for the projects, painting, and landscaping. The secondary students have been busy clearing a new place around the AG and mechanics buildings, and they have just started landscaping and some garden beds around the school with the Primary Hands on Learning students which started a few weeks ago.
We are actively seeking involvement in community project work which is a great opportunity to foster positive attitudes towards the local community, which teaches the students the value of shared goals and purposes which are the fabric of our society.
