In the Senior School the focus has been making decision about the 2023 school year. The Year 12 students had a TIS information session. The Tertiary Information Service (TIS) is a collective of Universities, TAFE institutes and Independent Tertiary Colleges helping students prepare for future careers. All Year 12 students were invited to Deakin Waterfront. TIS presentation focused on transitioning to tertiary education after high school, before engaging with a range of tertiary institutions to gain specific course and campus information such as, what you can study, why choose tertiary study, student experiences, fees and costs of further education and supports for students. Students returned with a clearer understanding of the choices in the upcoming years. 

Graduation

The 2023 Graduation will be at GMHBA on Tuesday 22 November. Tickets are currently on sale. Each student is allowed to purchase 1 ticket for themselves and 2 for family or friends. Tickets are $100 with a $25 deposit due by Thursday 1 September. Payment in full by 14 October. Purchase tickets on Compass or main office. 

Year 11 Subject Selections

Year 11 students have completed subject selections for their VCE and Vocational Major studies in 2023.  Through year level assemblies, class teacher discussions and careers team meetings students had the opportunity to discuss their learning and pathway options throughout the process.  Students wishing to study a VET in Year 12 have been provided with a VET application form, this should be completed and returned to the Careers Team promptly. Any student who has not completed their subject selections should see Mrs Martin or Mr Milsome.
