Hat Returns

Thank you to those students and parents who have already returned formal hats to the Uniform Shop. We are very grateful to Ursula and Emma who are doing all they can to expedite this process for our families.

Please be reminded that in order to receive your refund, you must return your hat to the Uniform Shop no later than 19 August.  It is absolutely fine for the boys to return their hats and provide the shop with your details so the Alinta Head Office can process your refund without the need for parents to physically be in the shop to action this.

Alinta have provided the following extended trading hours to support the return process:

Monday: 7.30am to 12.30pm

Tuesday: 7.30am to 10.00am

Tuckshop Volunteers Needed for Term 3

Our wonderful tuckshop co-ordinator, Jocelyn, is once again asking for parent/guardian volunteers to help in the tuckshop for Term 3.  This is a great way for those who have the time available to give back to the College and to participate in our daily routines.  (I offer a special invitation to those mums and dads who have boys finishing in Year 12 this year.  You could take advantage of one (or more) final opportunity to see your son in the high school setting before he heads off to new adventures next year!)

Please click on the relevant link below if you can help out in any way:

Day Long Absences

If your son is going to be absent for a day due to illness or any other unexpected reason, please notify the College in writing via the Parent Lounge on the College App or Parent Portal.

Under Queensland Health guidelines, we are now required to provide increased data on student absences. The use of the parent lounge will allow you to provide more detail of your son’s absence. Many families whose children attended BCE primary schools will already be familiar with a similar system.

As students return to the College and with the increased prevalence of COVID-19 in the general community, the College has the responsibility to keep families regularly updated on COVID-19 being managed within the school community. This communication will occur through the College newsletter.

The current student absentee phone line will still be supported in the short term but will be phased out as we move to the online platform.

Parent Lounge - Add Attendance Notification

An SMS alert will be sent to parents/guardians of students recorded as an unexplained absence.

Please ensure you contact your son’s Head of House regarding any daily absences or longer that you are aware of ahead of time.
