Bringing NAPLAN Home - the results and your child
As parents and carers, we all take great interest in our children and their paths in life. We know it is really important that they develop key skills such as literacy and numeracy to help them through school, work and life. See the attachment for more information about NAPLAN:

Volunteers Info & Training
Governing Council is endeavouring to encourage more parents, carers and grandparents to continue offering their services to our school. If you would like to volunteer, please see the attached link for further information about volunteering in schools... Criminal History Screening.
This is the only Criminal History Screening check that the Department of Education & Child Development will accept. If you are interested, please complete the attached form and speak to a member of staff in the office for further processing.
We are endeavouring to develop a database of volunteers that can be utilised across the school and really value our school community and the support that they can provide.
It is also DECD Policy that anyone volunteering within the school, assisting or interacting with students, undertake a Volunteer Education and Care Induction, run by the school, which takes between 1½ to 2 hours to complete.
I will be running two Volunteer Induction Sessions this term, in our staff room, on Tuesday 19th August at 9.00 – 10.30am and 5.00 - 6.30pm. To enable me to provide adequate materials for all attendees can you please contact me via the front office or at belinda.adams182@schools.sa.edu.au to advise which session you would like to attend or to enquire about volunteering within the school.
If you haven’t completed your Criminal History Check by this date, you can still attend the session and I will bring additional forms to the training for you to take away with you to enable the check to be completed. There is no cost to you for this check as it is covered by the school.
I look forward to meeting with you on the 19th August. Belinda Adams Deputy Principal
